Item of the Day: Hive and Honey’s Truffle Booties

I’ve been needing a basic pair of peep toe booties and found these Hive and Honey Truffle ones. Between the ruffle detail and low price point, they seem to be ideal for being fashion-y at work. My only sticking point is that booties in general remind me of these shoes I had in 6th grade that I literally wore to a nubbin, and I’m afraid I’m going to put them on my feet and be mentally transported back to my dorky years.

Fashion Orbit is a working lady these days, as you may guess by the infrequency of posts as of late (though I promise to be diligent once again).

Gilt Fuse is On Like Donkey Kong

As of this morning, Gilt Fuse, Gilt Group’s cheaper little sister, is up and running. Today features items by Generra, Kova & T, and Modern Amusement (the above photo is MA’s Boyfriend Cardigan, marked down to $58 from $168). Other sales this week include Kelsi Dagger and LaROK.

Are you excited for Gilt Fuse? I must say, I thought I would remain a diehard Gilt fan, but sometimes it’s nice to know that the pieces you’ll be looking at are for the most part $100 and under.
