A Lot of Look: Drew Barrymore at the Whip It Premiere
Drew Barrymore has been on a fashion rampage of sorts lately, which, if she were Courtney Love would indicate that she was into the bad stuff, but in Drew’s case (at least these days) tends to translate to simply being “wacky.”
I like Drew, but I think it’s at least a minor crime to pair that jaw-droppingly gorgeous yellow Alexander McQueen dress with ratty skunk hair.

Everyone has their breaking point. In the past I have appreciated Lady Gaga’s dedication to being a performance artist, both onstage and off.
However, there is a thin line between performance art and Bjork, and when you skin hundreds of Muppets for your capelet, that line has been crossed.

A Lot of Look: Michelle Obama at the Vatican
Michelle Obama went the full Catholic Monty for a meeting with Pope Benedict XVI today, pairing her all black ensemble (including another bow blouse from Moschino’s spring 2009 RTW collection) with a long Vatican-friendly veil.
Her toned down accessories were no match, however, for the two sash-wearing gentlemen behind her, who dug up every medal, brooch, and necklace they could find floating around in their jewelry boxes for the occasion.

A Lot of Look: Kathy Griffin Shopping With Paris Hilton (Filming for The D’List, Clearly)
God, I love me some Kathy Griffin. You’d think that it would be horribly awkward to go shopping with someone whom you referred to as “retarded” on your last comedy special, but Kathy is apparently above that.
Not only is she out and about with Paris and the paparazzi, but she put on her best Hilton-like tutu dress. The bag is pretty priceless, too - I hope we find out the story behind it when the new season of D-List airs.

A Lot of Look: Mary-Kate Olsen at the Metropolitan Opera’s 125th Anniversary Gala
When I first saw the thumbnails of Mary-Kate Olsen at the Met, I assumed I was looking at Courtney Love. It was mostly all the hair in the face that threw me off: I am used to the Olsens’ schlumpy chic but this is not quite Mary-Kate’s usual birdlady style.
Beyond the messy hair, I really don’t find anything terribly wrong with red lips, a dramatic black dress, and metallic accessories. She just needs to scrape off about half of the Elizabethan lead paint that she’s doused herself in.

A Lot of Look: Lady Gaga at the San Diego House of Blues
Lady Gaga is getting slammed all over the internet for her recent in-concert ensemble, but I kind of love it. Look, we all know she loves her ridiculous leotards and big glasses (and, um, have you seen her without?), and besides, this is clearly meant to be over-the-top and rock n’ roll.
There’s something dreamy about wearing a bunch of bubbles. I just wish she would take her damn foot off of the piano.
