Designer of the Week: Abaeté
Laura Poretzky, the designer/founder behind Abaeté, takes her logo from her Portuguese family crest, which was originally awarded to her great-grandfather in part for his work as an abolitionist. Today, the crest represents Poretzky’s vision of “French femininity, Brazilian sensuality, and American simplicity” as found in the Abaeté line.
