Daily Obsession: Equestrian Style
As a lifelong horse-back rider, I’ve always found equestrian vogue to be slightly odd. It’s just the nature of fashion, I suppose: taking the utility away from pieces or reinterpreting utility on a strictly cursory basis.
Nonetheless, there are plenty of equestrian style items floating around that can stand on their own fashionable merits. Besides, I have a fair amount of nautically-inspired items in my closet, and I’m hardly sailing the high seas.
$100 and Under

These Raven riding pants boast a fab houndstooth pattern and form hugging fit. $64

This Malo bridle leather contour belt is a great waist cinching basic. $100 (orig. $250)

The Mid-Rangers

This hunt cap inspired Ginger hat by Cha-Cha’s House of Ill Repute is an adorable (and slightly over-the-top) substitute for its more casual baseball brethren. $187

The Spendy Picks

This exquisitely tailored Smythe linen equestrian jacket is ridiculously beautiful. $695

Yes, for being essentially a small piece of braided leather it’s absurdly expensive, but this Bottega Veneta rope bracelet is also impossibly rich looking. $350
