Heidi Cornell of Young, Fabulous, & Broke on Millionaire Matchmaker
Despite having watched all the previews of Millionaire Matchmaker heralding its “FIRST EVER MILLIONAIRESS!” last week, I had not realized until watching the episode itself that the millionairess in question was in fact Heidi Cornell, the founder and CEO of Young, Fabulous, & Broke. YFB’s pieces tend to be youthful but versatile: the line ranges from loungewear to cocktail dresses, with a lot of good staple closet pieces in the mix (full disclosure: I carried YFB for several years before closing my store).
For those of you who have never lived in Los Angeles, the fact that Heidi is attractive, successful, has a good personality AND an adorable little daughter, and is Patti Stanger’s “only likable millionaire ever” yet still has trouble finding a man should clue you in on its dire dating situation for straight women. Patti further adds, “there is nothing worse in America than to be single with a child to raise.” Um…how about being stuck in a loveless marriage with only the kid(s) keeping you together? But I digress.
Heidi did wear several YFB pieces on the show, including this YFB tuxedo top and a few pieces from her jeweled fall/holiday collection. Not worn on the show but a must-have for YFB fanatics are their lounge-y/yoga type pants - I have a friend who claims to put them on Friday night and not take them off until Monday morning.
