Stephen Colbert on news that Newt Gingrich and his wife “had between 2005 and 2006 incurred from $250,001 and $500,000 of debt with Tiffany & Co.”
Frankly, that amount of credit at Tiffany’s of all places is pretty unimaginative. I haven’t advocated biting off more than you can chew when it comes to wardrobe expenditures since 2007, but I can think of better places to spend oneself silly. At least at Harrod’s you could bankrupt yourself on chocolate, polo gear and toothpaste along with your fine jewelry and couture threads.
Tell me - if you could have a six figure revolving credit line with any retailer, who would you pick?
